The Bearhawk is a 4 place airplane with a tube and fabric fuselage and aluminum wings. It is powered with engines ranging from 150 hp to 260 hp.  It is designed for short take offs and landings. It has a cruise speed of about 150 mph and a landing speed below 50 mph. Gross weight is 2,500 lbs and empty weight of about 1,150 lbs.  Curt is planning on using a turbo- charged Mazda 13b Rotary engine with geared re-drive expecting about 200 hp. His project was started in September of 2005.
